About P.A.L.S.
Our Purpose is Simple
We are the P.A.L.S. (Providing Assistance, Love and Support) Group. We have identified the advantage of having regularly structured recreational programs for our citizens with special needs.
While there are opportunities for students with special needs to participate in school-based activities, there is a growing need for more community-based opportunities to help our special needs population thrive as independent. P.A.L.S. members have regular opportunities to socialize with age appropriate peers and volunteer peer-pals during special events and other fun activities
Who we are
P.A.L.S. is a community based, volunteer organization dedicated to developing and facilitating structured opportunities for children and youth with special needs to participate in recreational activities in order to build a community where all citizens are treated with compassion and respect.
P.A.L.S. Activities
The P.A.L.S. program was kicked off in 2010. We offer a Friday night recreational program that allows participants to learn and enjoy different sports including soccer, basketball, floor hockey, football and more.
Special events are organized throughout the year including a summer family picnic, Halloween party, Christmas party, Easter egg hunt, Summer swim party and much more.
P.A.L.S. On The Go allows children to attend recreational and social events outside the community.
